Nurture, recruit, and train women to build simple, decent, and affordable houses.
Empower women from all walks of life to address the local affordable housing needs.
Help eliminate substandard and inadequate housing in Brevard County.
30,000 women volunteer with Women Build each year. More than 300 U.S. affiliates have Women Build projects. Since 2007, Women Build has built 2,226 homes throughout the U.S.
The Women Build program has a rich history with Habitat for Humanity of Brevard County, Inc. The first build was in 1993 and 5 have been completed with the last one in 2015.
Habitat for Humanity’s National Women Build Week is an annual event that highlights the homeownership challenges faced by women and children. The event encourages women to devote at least one day to the effort. A decent place to live can remove barriers to opportunity, success and health that might have been a part of a family's life for years, if not generations.
THROUGH SHELTER, WE EMPOWER.
