Donating to ReStores

Donations made to our ReStores are tax-deductible and 100% of the proceeds support Habitat's mission. Plus, you'll be keeping good, reusable items in use and out of landfills. The ReStores receive new and gently-used donations from individuals, building supply stores, contractors, home builders, interior designers, and Brevard businesses.

Please take a moment to review our Accepted and Unaccepted Items list below. The purpose of this list is to provide a general outline for items we do and do not accept; however, it is not complete. We encourage you to fill out call with any questions you have regarding your donation.

What we Accept:

New and gently used/ in good condition: Furniture, Home Goods, Building Supplies and Appliances (within age range)

We are currently seeking more Home Decor such as clean linens, beautiful decorative pillows, artful home decor and full sets of dishes without chips/cracks.

What we DO NOT Accept:

Building Supplies:

  • Hazardous materials / chemicals
  • Old / Opened Paint
  • Used Sliding Glass doors
  • Used Windows
  • Shower Doors
  • Bath Tubs
  • Used toilets
  • Old sinks
  • Garage Doors
  • Counter Tops, no formica. Corian/Granite must be smaller pieces with no cut outs for sinks,etc.
  • Wall-to-wall carpet
  • Ceramic tile/flooring not in the original boxes; complete boxes only, please!
  • Pavers/ Block/ Brick NOT on Pallets
  • Used plywood
  • Unframed mirrors or glass
  • Cabinets with any water damage or without all parts (doors, drawers, shelves, etc)
  • Tools with any rust or MISSING CHARGERS

Furniture:

  • Upholstered items with rips, stains, tears, and / or pet hair/smoke odors or discoloration
  • Rusted metal anywhere!
  • Anything that doesn't work / needs a replacement part
  • Mattresses more than 1 year old and aren't in like new condition
  • Baby/Nursery/Children's items
  • TVs (non-flat screen)
  • Entertainment centers
  • Desks
  • Parts of furniture, such as Hutch tops, missing doors, parts of a sectional, etc.
  • Pressboard furniture
  • Water damage or mold anywhere!

Appliances:

  • Not fully functioning
  • Microwaves/Dishwashers over 5 years old
  • Refridgerators, stoves, washers, dryers more than 8 years old
  • Rust
  • Missing parts

Misc:

  • Computer Equipment * Books * Dirty, torn, stained linens
  • Clothing * Pet Supplies
    * Pianos/organs
  • Window Blinds/Verticals/Cornices/Valances * Rusty Bicycles
    * Toys
